Emily Dawson is an Irish-born artist, currently living in Dublin, Ireland. Her art style has changed over the last 20 years from the mystical landscapes of Ireland to recent more spiritual/subconscious and abstract works.
Emily has exhibited in many of Dublins top contemparary galleries including Sol Art, Gallery X and White Lady Art.
Some of her artwork has accompanying poetry.
Emily is part of the Minaw Collective, Ireland's first all-female street-art crew. Graffiti and street art elements often grace her work. Emily also does spoken word performances. (Check out videos page!)
Emily has taken part in two galleries in Dublin City, ÉRIÚ AR AIS, and Headspace Dublin, both being underground art, music and social centres, displaying and encouraging creativity from Dublin City's best graffiti, hip-hop and subculture artists.
Below are some photos from Dublin culture magazine 'Murmur' which did an article on Emily and the Headspace Gallery/Studio.
Just in the last year Emily started making some fashion designs which went straight to New York Fashion Week. Since then she has featured on Top Model Ireland, Gok Wan and Danielle Mahon Fashion Event, and you can check out her designs in Design House Dawson Street. Upcoming highlights later this year include Carina Cunningham's Style Warriors and Ultimate Model Search Ireland.
Murmur Magazine is now available at The Library Project, Temple Bar and the National Gallery of Ireland Bookshop.
